At ECMS, we value the critical importance of privacy and data protection for our clients. We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality and security of personal information entrusted to us. ECMS understands that it will be accountable for the management, storage and retention of all personal data. All client and staff records are managed, stored and retained to comply with the Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). A copy of our data security policy can be supplied upon request. 

In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we will use and handle the information responsibly and will take all reasonable and appropriate steps to safeguard and secure the information we collect. Data will not be shared outside of the company at any time, other than with client/advocate consent to appropriate agencies / professionals.

All ECMS staff receive training covering information about confidentiality, data protection and access to records. All staff who need to use internal computer systems are trained to protect private data and to ensure data security.

ICO

The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) upholds information rights in the public interest, promoting openness by public bodies and data privacy for individuals. At ECMS we maintain up to date knowledge of guidance relating to data management.
